5 Day Saigon Nha Trang Easy Ride – Vietnam Motorbike Tour

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Saigon – Cu Chi – Binh Phuoc | 200 km

Your Saigon to Nha Trang motorcycle adventure begins by leaving the busy streets of Saigon behind. We head into the countryside using smaller roads whenever possible, giving you an immediate change of scenery.

Our first major stop is the Cu Chi Tunnels, where you will spend around 1.5 hours exploring one of Vietnam’s most important wartime sites. The tunnels provide an insight into the underground network used during the Vietnam War and the difficult conditions faced by those who lived and fought here.

From Cu Chi, we continue through Binh Duong and Dong Nai before heading toward Binh Phuoc.

As the urban landscape disappears, the roads become quieter and the countryside more open. Depending on road conditions and your riding experience, we can choose different routes through the red basalt countryside, with extensive rubber plantations stretching across the landscape.

Binh Phuoc played an important role during the Vietnam War and lies along historic routes connecting southern Vietnam with the Central Highlands and Cambodia.

After approximately 200 km on the road, we arrive in the Binh Phuoc area for our overnight stay.

Overnight: Binh Phuoc
Distance: Approximately 200 km
Riding time: Around 4–6 hours

Day 2: Binh Phuoc – Dong Xoai – Dray Sap | 200 km

Today we leave Binh Phuoc and head deeper into the Central Highlands.

The route follows sections of the Ho Chi Minh Trail and Highway 14, one of the most fascinating motorcycle routes in southern Vietnam. The road passes through landscapes shaped by both war and agriculture, with historic battle areas, memorials, bomb craters and remnants of former military positions found in parts of the region.

For riders, this is where the journey becomes especially rewarding. Long stretches of road pass through forests, plantations and rolling countryside, with fewer tourists and plenty of opportunities to stop for photographs.

As we continue toward Dak Lak Province, the landscape gradually changes. Coffee plantations become increasingly common, while the hills and forests of the Central Highlands create a completely different atmosphere from Saigon.

Our destination is Dray Sap, an area famous for its waterfalls and forest scenery. Depending on conditions and the season, we can explore the area around Dray Sap and Gia Long waterfalls, walk through the forest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

This is also a chance to slow down after a full day on the road and experience the natural side of the Central Highlands.

Overnight: Dray Sap area
Distance: Approximately 200 km
Riding time: Around 4–6 hours

Day 3: Dray Sap – Lak Lake | 70 km

Day 3 is shorter in distance but rich in culture and scenery.

The Central Highlands is home to several ethnic communities, including the Ede, M’nong, Jarai and Bahnar people. Travelling through this region by motorcycle allows us to visit rural communities and see traditional houses, agricultural areas and everyday village life away from the main tourist routes.

The highlight of the day is Lak Lake, one of the most beautiful natural destinations in the Central Highlands.

Lak Lake is surrounded by green mountains, rice fields and traditional M’nong communities. We visit Jun Village, where traditional longhouses provide an opportunity to learn more about the local way of life and cultural traditions.

Depending on local conditions, you may also have the opportunity to enjoy a boat or canoe trip on the lake and experience the peaceful atmosphere of this remote corner of Vietnam.

The area around Lak Lake is particularly attractive for photography. Early morning and late afternoon often provide beautiful light across the water, villages and surrounding mountains.

We spend the night in a traditional-style M’nong longhouse in Jun Village, giving you a more authentic experience than a standard hotel.

Overnight: Jun Village, Lak Lake
Distance: Approximately 70 km
Riding time: Around 2–3 hours, plus sightseeing

Day 4: Lak Lake – Da Lat | 180 km

After breakfast, we continue our journey through the Central Highlands toward Lam Dong Province and Da Lat.

Today’s route combines winding mountain roads, forests, plantations and highland countryside. The scenery changes gradually as we gain elevation, and the cooler climate becomes noticeable as we approach Da Lat.

The Central Highlands is one of Vietnam’s most important coffee-growing regions, and along the way we pass coffee plantations and rural farming communities. Depending on the season, you may see farmers working among the coffee trees and other crops that thrive in the highland climate.

Before reaching Da Lat, we can visit a traditional silk-weaving village. Here, you can learn how silk is produced and see the skills involved in turning natural fibres into finished fabric. It is a fascinating contrast to the motorcycle adventure and offers a glimpse into a traditional craft that remains part of local life.

Da Lat is famous for its cool weather, pine forests, flower gardens, lakes and French-influenced architecture. After several days riding through remote countryside, the city provides a welcome change of pace.

Enjoy the evening exploring Da Lat, relaxing at a local café or simply taking in the cooler mountain air.

Overnight: Da Lat
Distance: Approximately 180 km
Riding time: Around 4–6 hours

Day 5: Da Lat – Long Lanh Pass – Nha Trang | 150 km

Our final day takes us from the cool mountains of Da Lat toward the warm coast.

The journey begins with one of the most scenic sections of the entire Saigon to Nha Trang motorcycle tour. We travel through the mountains toward Long Lanh Pass, reaching an elevation of around 1,500 metres.

The road winds through forests and mountain valleys, with spectacular viewpoints along the way. Depending on weather and seasonal conditions, waterfalls can be seen cascading down the mountainsides, making this a memorable section for photography.

As we descend from the highlands, the landscape changes once again. The cool mountain environment gradually gives way to warmer coastal scenery, and the road eventually leads toward Nha Trang.

After five days of travelling through rural southern Vietnam, the journey ends in Nha Trang, one of Vietnam’s most popular coastal destinations. With long beaches, blue water, seafood restaurants and a lively seaside atmosphere, Nha Trang is a natural place to finish the adventure.

Distance: Approximately 150 km
Riding time: Around 4–5 hours
End: Nha Trang
