These Motorcycle Rental Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) apply to all motorcycle rentals, motorcycle tours, and related services provided by VIETNAMRIDER (“Company”, “we”, “us”). By booking, confirming a reservation, or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read carefully before completing your booking.

1. Requirements for Renting a Motorcycle
To ensure safety, legal compliance, and responsible riding in Vietnam, all customers must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum age: 21 years old
- A valid motorcycle class driver’s license is required
- A valid major credit card is required for security deposit authorization
Riders Aged 18–20 (Restricted Rentals)
Riders aged 18–20 may rent motorcycles only if they meet all requirements below:
- Hold a valid motorcycle license or endorsement from their home country
- Provide proof of completion of an approved motorcycle safety course, such as:
- Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Course or equivalent
- Harley-Davidson Rider Training Program (or equivalent recognized program)
- Motorcycle eligibility is limited to up to 500cc
- This policy applies to Vietnam locations only
2. Rental Inclusions
All motorcycle rentals with VIETNAMRIDER include:
- 24-hour rental period per day
- Unlimited mileage (selected models only)
- Standard safety equipment (helmet included)
- Pre-ride inspection and customer orientation
Inclusions may vary depending on motorcycle model and tour package.
3. Customer Orientation
Before departure, all customers will receive a mandatory safety orientation covering:
- Motorcycle operation and handling
- Basic maintenance responsibilities
- Local traffic laws and riding regulations in Vietnam
- Route overview and safety recommendations
Customers are responsible for following all instructions provided during orientation.
4. Luggage Storage
VIETNAMRIDER provides complimentary luggage storage during your rental period.
- Includes luggage, travel documents, and personal belongings
- Provided free of charge
- Stored at the customer’s own risk
VIETNAMRIDER is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of stored items.
5. Fuel Policy
Fuel is not included in the rental price.
- Motorcycles are provided with fuel at pickup
- Customers must return motorcycles with the same fuel level
- Prepaid fuel options may be available at booking
If no prepaid fuel option is selected and refueling is required upon return, a $35 USD refueling service fee will apply.
Fuel consumption may vary depending on motorcycle type and riding conditions.
6. Helmets & Safety Equipment
- Helmets are included with all rentals and tours
- Helmet use is mandatory under Vietnamese law
- Customers are encouraged to bring their own helmets for comfort and fit
- Additional helmets may be available upon request
Safety is our top priority.
7. Additional Riders
- One additional rider is allowed per motorcycle at no extra charge
- Additional riders must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Hold a valid motorcycle license
- Meet all standard rental requirements
All riders are responsible for the motorcycle during the rental period.

8. Maintenance Responsibility
Customers are responsible for basic motorcycle care during the rental period, including:
- Checking engine oil at each refueling stop
- Reporting any mechanical issues immediately
- Following maintenance instructions provided at pickup
Customers may be held responsible for damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or failure to follow basic maintenance guidelines.
9. Motorcycle Substitution
VIETNAMRIDER reserves the right to substitute a confirmed motorcycle if necessary.
- Replacement will be of equal or higher category
- If the selected model is unavailable, a similar motorcycle will be provided
- This represents the maximum responsibility of VIETNAMRIDER
10. Security Deposit
A security deposit is required at pickup.
- Processed as credit card authorization only
- No charge unless damage, loss, or policy violation occurs
- Deposit amount varies depending on motorcycle type and rental duration
11. Riding Restrictions
For safety and insurance validity:
Motorcycles may only be used on public roads.
Strictly prohibited areas include:
- Off-road trails
- Beaches
- Gravel roads
- Logging roads or restricted terrain
Violation of these restrictions will void insurance coverage. The customer may be responsible for resulting damages.
12. Insurance & Liability
All rentals include basic coverage as defined in your booking package (if applicable).
However:
- Customers are responsible for damages not covered by insurance
- VIETNAMRIDER is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings except where required by law
Customers are advised to read their rental confirmation carefully for specific coverage details.
13. Reservation & Payment Terms
To confirm a booking:
- Reservations under $200 require full payment at booking
- Reservations over $200 require a 30% deposit
- Remaining balance must be paid before or at pickup
VIETNAMRIDER reserves the right to charge outstanding balances using the original payment method unless alternative arrangements are made in advance.
Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the reservation.
14. Pickup, Return & Late Fees
- Pickup must be scheduled during business hours
- Pickup time must be confirmed in advance
- No pickups after 4:30 PM
Rental conditions:
- 1 rental day = 24 hours from pickup time
- Early returns are non-refundable
- Late returns incur a $25 USD per hour fee

15. Cancellations & Refund Policy
All bookings are generally non-refundable.
Cancellation terms:
- 30+ days before pickup: store credit (valid 12 months)
- 21–29 days before pickup: 30% cancellation fee
- 11–20 days before pickup: 60% cancellation fee
- Within 10 days or no-show: 100% charge applies
Store credits:
- Non-transferable
- Valid for 12 months
- Usable only by the original customer and within Vietnam
16. Payment Methods
VIETNAMRIDER accepts:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- JCB
- Bank transfer
- Western Union (select cases)
All payments must comply with booking terms.
17. Additional Fees & Surcharges
Depending on season, location, or demand, additional fees may apply:
- Peak season surcharge
- Event or rally surcharge
- Environmental fee (6.5%)
- Location-based operational fee
These fees support maintenance, sustainability, and service quality.
18. Booking Conditions
By confirming a booking with VIETNAMRIDER, you agree that:
- Full or partial payment is required to secure your reservation
- All bookings are subject to availability
- Prices may vary by season and location
- Blackout dates may apply
- All bookings require final confirmation
19. Final Agreement
By booking with VIETNAMRIDER, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
VIETNAMRIDER reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
